In 1987, Tanzanian pastor Charles Mchombe attended a WDA seminar….

in South Korea led by Ken Hewett. His eyes lit up and he said, “This is why God brought me to Korea!” Charles attended Ken’s discipleship class in 1988 and then returned home to Tanzania to begin a discipleship school in his home town of Lushoto. The first class was a 3-month course in the summer of 1994 led by Ken.

Charles was killed in a traffic accident later that year but in 1996, one of Charles’ disciples, E.E. Nnko and another student from the 1994 training assumed leadership of the ministry. Ken and Nnko trained nine pastors in Arusha to begin nine rural churches. Nnko died in 2008, and the ministry was again put on hold.

Dickson Laizer became the new leader of WDA Tanzania in 2010. Ken travels each year to teach Dickson’s disciples in the villages around Arusha. Dickson has had WDA’s materials translated into Swahili and the pastors are using them in their churches. Dickson lives with his family in Arusha.

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,  because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.

Isaiah 61:1

DID YOU KNOW?

WDA TRAINS NATIVE LEADERS TO BUILD DISCIPLES IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY.

WDA believes that the Church is Plan A there is No plan B.  We serve the church by helping leaders like Benson, build relationships with other churches and leaders who build disciple builders..

Multiplication is Jesus Plan.
