MINISTRY NEWSLETTER (2021 HIGHLIGHTS)

The year 2021 has been a year of many challenges ranging from nation to nation because of the Covid19 Pandemic. Though the Pandemic has not yet been completely subdued we are thankful to God that the story is changing from bad to better in many nations of the world. The entire world and the Church at large have been heavily affected in terms of the economy and missions work. However, we still have every reason to rejoice and thank God in all things as He commands us to give thanks in everything. Through the Pandemic I have personally seen the Lord reviving the work of the Church and also making individuals ask themselves where the world is heading to; Hebrews 11:8-10 “By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he went to live in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, heirs with him of the same promise.  For he was looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose designer and builder is God”. Here are some of the Ministry Highlights for the year 2021

Bible Gifts: We have together with you touched over 200 people with Bibles.

The work of Evangelism; I am grateful to God that the passion for the lost souls is growing more and more and now seeing many people dying without Christ and knowing that they will spend eternity in Hell. These burden my heart to reach out to the lost and even those within the confines of the Church who are not yet sure of their eternal life Christ Jesus our Lord. The drive to the ministries I do whether it is in the Church as a Pastor, in outreaches locally and missions work beyond my tribesmen and country boarders is that the lost may be reconciled to the Lord Jesus Christ. And together we are saving lives as we holds hands in the great commission with you. We have indeed touched many lives and I pray the Lord causes us to continue to do so even the more in our remaining days on earth.

PASTORAL MINISTRY: As much as I love the lost souls come to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus. I am as well passionate to see them discipled and become mature disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ. I have been a Pastor of Agape Baptist Church for over 7 years and the Lord has graciously worked in His Church and me. It has pleased the Lord to move us in a Church planting ministry within Zambia but in a different Province/region. My Family and I bade farewell to the Church in tears and smiles knowing that our God is on the throne and He leads us as He pleases. To God be the glory for the great things He is doing among us. We are optimistic and expectant to see what the Lord has in store for us in the new land.

Here are some farewell highlights

I must confess that it was really a bitter-sweet kind of experience leaving brothers and sisters whom I have known for many years, some I personally witnessed to them, Baptised, married and even welcomed Children into fellowship. The comfort is that ministry is about Christ Jesus and His glory. He who has begun the good work in His people will surely accomplish it with or without my presence (Philippians 1:6). The thoughts of looking to God for the new work and new relationships are so exciting as well. My family and I are expectant of the Lord’s hand in this new land. The ground looks promising and the peace of God upon our hearts is so overwhelming. We truly know and feel this is His leading but we are also aware that battles await us for the Kingdom of God is always opposed by the world and worldly. Oh for grace that the Lord would keep and use us for His honour and glory.

The Call to start new work: The call to begin this new work came through two families who have transferred to the area and thought there is need for Church planting. I was personally hesitant to leave my city for a relatively small town where life was uncertain. In God’s providence my WDA African Director Pastor Benson Chembe called me and spoke about expanding WDA work in all the provinces of Zambia and I took that as a confirmation to move to Luapula Province. Here I am now.

Let us continue to holds hands in supporting and praying for the work of the Lord. Remember without your support and prayer there would be little or nothing to report about. Let us keep doing the work entrusted to us the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus. In 1st Corinthians 15:3-5, we read “For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. (ESV) We have but today to serve the Lord our God. Thank you.

Thanksgiving and Prayer

  • Praise the Lord with me for His provisions of the ministry and family needs. The Lord has miraculously provided for us in ways words cannot tell this year which proved difficult.
  • Rejoice with me for the Lord’s protection and good health of my family and I, though I had a number of Gospel movement amidst Covid19 the Lord has kept me well and safe.
  • Pray for grace and wisdom to settle well in the new area this year and get into another year with a growing passion and love for God and His work. That the Lord will lead me to start discipleship work with His people swiftly.
  • Pray for the Lord’s grace as we start a new Church here in Mansa Luapula Province. We need a place to gather from, chairs and many other provisions. It is apparently clear that I will be making a lot of movements in order to establish this new work. Kindly pray for a ministry Car for efficient and easy moments.
  • Our first born and second are in School. Kindly pray that the Lord would provide for us so that we are enabled to pay for their school fees and serve the Lord without hindrance.

Thank you so much for your generous and unwavering prayer support looking forward to partner with you and doing more for the Lord in the year 2022. Thanks and the Lord bless you abundantly. Amen.
