Training Conferences & Seminars

What impact do you think it would it make if more of the Christians in your church or community began behaving more like Christ? It would be significant, to say the least. (Now multiply that times all the places Christians are located around the world, and you begin to understand God's agenda!) Maturity does make a difference!

Jesus said "when a disciple is fully taught, he will become like His Teacher." He then instructed His disciples to teach new followers "to obey everything He commanded." For this to occur, a plan is needed: a plan for teaching everything (a curriculum) and a plan for encouraging obedience to truth (an application process).

A Progressive Process
WDA has developed such a process. In fact, it’s the same approach Jesus used. He taught truth relationally, gradually and progressively as He exhorted His followers to obey. He also challenged them to assume appropriate ministry responsibilities, and prayed that their faith would grow and their relationship with God and each other would deepen. Ultimately the quality of bold (agape) love is the final outcome and ultimate evidence of a relationship with Him.

This process is not easy. It involves more than just understanding concepts. It requires sacrifice and devotion, but we can provide the resources and training to equip modern disciple builders help others grow to maturity. We offer conferences, seminars, and (in some cases) on-site coaching to help ministry leaders equip others.

Annual Disciple Building Conference

WDA’s annual Disciple Building Conference was held from Friday April 20, 2007 through Saturday April 21, 2007 at Central Christian Church (located in Carmel, Indiana -15 miles north of the Indianapolis Airport). Featuring an overview of Christ's disciple building approach with practical applications for modern church leaders, this event also offered valuable resources and an opportunity to be a part of an international association of disciple builders.  ( Click here for (PDF) evaluations from those who attended the 2005 conference.)

“We have had two classes using the WDA materials for over a year now, and those in the classes are growing in their walk with the Lord. The materials are easy to use and adapt to the varying conditions that we encounter in these classes. We recently had to start two more classes using these materials due to the increased interest of our congregation in response to their contact with those in the classes.” — Assoc. Pastor
