The Pierce Center for Disciple Building
The Pierce Center for Disciple Building at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary was founded on the premise that growth to maturity and intimacy with God should be central themes of seminary life. John Pierce held a strong conviction that the greatest need in the Church and the world today is for quality leaders prepared and committed to winning people to Christ and striving to present them mature in Him.

Located on all three campuses of one of the most respected and influential divinity schools in the world, The Center encourages and trains the Pierce Scholars while offering support and resources for the broader community. WDA helped to found The Center in 1999, and our staff serve actively as part of the Steering Committee and supply special training and resources.

Some of our current partners are The Gathering Place (St. Simons Island, Georgia), Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, New Hope Baptist Church - College and Career Ministry (Fayetteville, Georgia), Hong Key Chung (pastor located in Bucharest, Romania), San Pablo Seminary (Merida, Mexico) and Myanmar School of Disciple Building (Yangon, Myanmar).

Myanmar School of Disciple Building
The Myanmar Disciple Building Center is one of the few evangelical training schools in Southeast Asia. WDA works with The Presbyterian Church in America’s Mission to the World and other churches, offering training and support to young pastors dedicated to reaching their region with the Gospel.

“I am specifically burdened for the need for intentional disciple builders, people who understand the importance of Christlike conduct and character and who are able to design strategies for helping others grow up. After much research and deliberation, I am convinced that WDA has the best approach I know of for accomplishing this.”
